Well its the end of May, which can only mean one thing – Winter is here.
Sure enough its getting cold.  The Super 14 is over, finishing with the biggest suck of a game of rugby you could ever see.  It could only be beaten by my even suckier Virtual Super 14 score. Beaten by nearly everyone… Well done to Mal who kicked everyone’s arse.
I got another year older in May - turning 36 made me have a think about making some hard decisions.
In case you hadn’t noticed the price of gas in still going up. Its now costing around $128 bucks a pop to fill the v8.
The work car allowance hasn’t gone anywhere for the last five years, which adds to the cost of owning a v8. Couple this to the depreciation on big cars going crazy, owning a v8 Commodore is just about one of the silliest things I could do right now.Â
When you add all this up with the fact that I can get a brand new Nissan Maxima from work, with everything paid for including petrol, I had to make a very hard decision, given that its also the end of our financial year and I wouldn’t get another chance until next year.Â
Keeping the v8 – You bet! 🙂
Got a bunch of new toys as well – Reed and Danny now get to watch movies in the back of the car courtesy of a Alpine 10.2″ flip down screen in the roof of the car, playing via my iPod Video, cartooning to their hearts content. Gotta love wasting money on Trademe…
Both Reed and Danny are flying along, other than the occasional cold. They’re both at swimming lessons now, charging along!
If only I could figure out how to stop it raining…
Oh well life ain’t that bad… 😛
